Shirley T. Green
Shirley T. Green, 74, Glasgow, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at the NHC Healthcare Center. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Sally Harper Fields. She was a retired security officer at R R Donnelley & Sons in Glasgow.
Survivors include three children: Carol Compton and Sammy Green and his wife Erica all of Glasgow, and Christina Moore of Lexington; seven grandchildren: Allen Moore and his wife Hannalore, Samantha Moore, Lindsey Steenbergen and husband William, Madison Green, Jacob Green, Kolby Babb, and Ben Babb; two great-grandchildren: Lilly Steenbergen and Lexie Steenbergen; her granddog, Smokie Joe; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Henderson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue Wednesday morning at the funeral home.

Shirley was one of the meekest and most mild mannered ladies I ever met. She always had a smile and a kind word. She took care of my grandchildren as though they were her own. I will forever remember this and how special she was to our family.
