Charles Barton

          Charles Edward Barton, 76, Horse Cave, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the University of Louisville Hospital.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Romie Lee Barton and Creola Christy Barton.  He was a retired roofer and a U S Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.

          Survivors include his wife Rita Young Barton; two daughters: Rhonda Barton Taylor (Ronnie) of Cave City, and Kimberly Barton Bowles of Glasgow; his grandchildren: Charles L. Bryant (Seehara) of Horse Cave, Damon J. Bryant of Hardyville, Jonathan J. Bryant (Amber) of Glasgow, Harley S. Holmes (Kevin) of Dunnville, Angela Storm (Matthew) of Horse Cave, Megan Bowles of Cave City, and Kelsey Bowles of Glasgow; two sisters: Nelda Matthews (Leland) of Alvaton, and Glenda Wilson of Georgia; two brothers: Donald Barton of Glasgow and James Barton of Columbia; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

          The family chose cremation with no services scheduled at this time.  Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
