Samuel R. Basile, Jr.

Samuel Ralph Basile, Jr., 65, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Sabatino “Sam” Basile, Sr. and Mary Lapari Basile. He was a member of Saint Helen’s Catholic Church. He cooked for Barren County Head Start and was known as “Mr. Sam”.
He is survived by four children: Belinda Thurman (Charles), Sophia Basile, Sabatino R. Basile (Heather) and Giovanni W. Basile (Dulce); seventeen grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Angelina, Nicholas, Analis, Evan, Evaughna, Alma, Lydia, Azra, Maria, Izabela, Sammy, Amora, Marisol, Gianna and Enzo; three brothers: David Basile (Ellie Geist), Ralph Basile (Jiggy) and Martin Basile (Kim); one sister: Joanne Hamilton (Desmond) many nieces, nephews, special friends and family.
Besides his parents he was preceded death by his wife Alma Rosa Basile; two brothers: Dominic Basile and Mark Basile.
Funeral will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time for services. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
