Sally Kay Copass

          Sally Kay Copass, 80, Glasgow, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her residence.  A native of Chicago, she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude Nelson Brandherm.

          Sally was liked by everyone who knew her.  She loved puzzles and was a collector of coffee mugs, having more than 200 in her collection.  She enjoyed cooking and some of her specialties were sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls.  Her being a homemaker, she had been a long-time president of the East Barren Homemakers Club and had also served two terms as president of the Barren County Homemakers.  She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Burkesville.

          Sally is survived by her husband of 61½ years Carl Copass (her high school sweetheart); one daughter Jody Davis of Glasgow; one granddaughter Melinda Stinson (Daniel) of Cave City; one great-grandchild Olivia Stinson of Cave City; two sisters-in-law: Pam Siler (Robert) of Glasgow and Bev Copass of Gibson City, IL; two nieces: Laurie Sanford (Fred) of Urbana, IL and Deanna Leitz (Mike) of Gibson City, IL; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Harold Copass and a cousin Nancy Shroba.

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
