Lonnie P. Winchester

          Lonnie P. Winchester, 72, of Cave City, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at U of L Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  He was a son of the late Leslie and Ines “Love” Winchester.  He was the significant other of the late Debbie Poynter.  He was a farmer for many years and loved going fishing and spending time with his family.

          He is survived by two sons: Lonnie Wayne Winchester (Judy) and George Walter Estes; four daughters: Tabatha Vincent (Clevie), Kim Cross (Kelvin), Crystal Lyne (Boyd), and Anna Poynter (Johnny); eight brothers and sisters: Leymon (Bobbie) Winchester, Ricky (Donna) Winchester, Danny (Kathy) Winchester, William Winchester, Stoney Winchester, Lonus (Donna) Winchester, Donna Winchester, and Ann Trejo; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving son Christopher Paul Winchester; five brothers: David Winchester, Mikel Winchester, Jessie Winchester, Bennie Winchester, and Junior Winchester; and four sisters: Minnie Sue Smith, Helen Estes, Nina “Sissy” Vibbert, and Wanda Cross.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
