Wayne Honeycutt

          James Wayne Honeycutt, 78, Cave City, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Metcalfe Health Care Center.  Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Oscar and Dorothy Neal Honeycutt.  He was a retired farmer; a member of the House of Prayer in Edmonton; an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing all the while dearly loving his family.

          Survivors include four children: Derek Honeycutt, Brad Honeycutt (Jeni), Tony Honeycutt (Regina), and Julie Kinnaird (Kimberly); three sisters: Doris Lawrence, Jane Weaver, and Mary Johnson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Glenda Joyce Neal Honeycutt; three brothers: Edward Honeycutt, Eugene Honeycutt, and Billy Honeycutt; and three sisters: Rose Pemberton, Sue Riddle, and Carolyn Hale.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
