Alveda Jessie

          Alveda “Tete” Jessie, 80, Cave City, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 from injuries in an automobile accident.  Born in Hiseville, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Magdalene Eudy Byrd.  She had previously worked as a stocker at Phillips Market and later was employed at Glenview Health Care Center from which she retired.

          Survivors include two children: Gary Jessie (Loretta) and Jan Hishmeh (Alfred); three grandchildren: Amanda Jones (Dustin), Josh Jessie (Mary Lou), and Kyle Hishmeh “Makayla”; three great-grandchildren: Shea Jones, Payton Jessie, and John Jessie; two loving fur babies: Benji and Bella; along with several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters: Jenny Scott, Ruby Garmon, Susie Ennis, Emma Ballard, Mary Ballard, Ann Honeycutt, Betty Stephens and Lou Wilson; and five brothers: Harold Byrd, Tommy Byrd, Don Byrd, Bud Byrd, and James Jones.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    I am so sorry about your Mom.I loved her dearly.She was always so much fun.I also hope you are doing well and improving.I pray for you daily.I will be unable to make it to the funeral home as I will be working but my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
