Larry McGuire

          Larry Vernon McGuire, 73, Glasgow, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at his residence following an illness.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Paul Turner McGuire and Lucille Shader McGuire.

          Larry was a graduate of Hiseville High School; a lifelong farmer; and a member of the Baptist faith.

          Survivors include his wife Charlotte Groce McGuire; one sister, Ann Starr; a step-daughter, Rhonda Morrison and husband Chris; a step-son-in-law, Andy Kilbourne; two nephews: Brian (Cathy) Starr and Timothy (Ashley) Starr; two great-nephews: Blake and Drew Starr; one aunt, Rebecca Carey; along with several cousins.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Steve Starr; his step-daughter Melissa Kilbourne; and his step-son Michael Walden.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to T J Samson Hospice.
