Mary Omer Gibson

Mary Omer Gibson, 77, Glasgow, died, Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her residence. The Union County native was the daughter of the late Walter and Nola Dayberry Omer. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Roger Dale Gibson. She was a retired owner of Gibson Tire Service. Mary enjoyed meeting and working with people throughout her life. One of her greatest joys in life was her family and the memories Roger and she made over the years.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Gibson Lowe; one grandchild, Gibson Lowe; one brother, Joseph “Joe” Alvey wife Helga; brother-in-law Danny Gibson and wife Mariam all of Glasgow and one sister-in-law, Connie Branstetter and husband Earlene of Hardyville, Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sisters Martha Dean Hutchins, and one brother Francis Marion Alvey.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Saint Helen Catholic Church. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Saint Helen Catholic Church until time for Mass. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to The American Cancer Society.
