David Dilley
April 25, 1951 ~ August 21, 2023
David Murrell Dilley, 72, Glasgow passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at his residence. He is the son of the late Henry Leon and Mildred Smith Dilley. David retired from the Unites States Army; having served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. David loved his country and his family dearly. He was proud to have served his country.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Dellis Dilley; One Son Jamey Dilley: one daughter: Trina Dilley; two step sons: Kenneth and Jerrod Vanover; eight grandchildren: Kolby Lee, Connor and Chase Bernhardt, Macey, Kaiden, and Gracey Dilley, Lisa and Jackson Vanover; three brothers: Freddie Dilley (Phyllis), Danny Dilley (Carole), Johnny Dilley (Barbara); One brother-in-law Jim Dellis (Darla); One sister-in-law; Sarah Haglund (Marty); several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by first wife Shirley Cross Dilley and one brother Jerry Dilley.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday September 16, 2023 at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be after 4:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to DAV Chapter 20 in c/o Curtis Littrell,107 Yancey Blvd. Horse Cave, KY 42749.
