Velvet Pedigo Scott

Velvet Pedigo Scott, 62, of Temple Hill passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at TJ Samson Hospital. She was Born in Barren County on October 30, 1960 to the late James and Loretta Chapman Pedigo. She was of Baptist faith.

She dedicated her life to the service of others. God gave her a great gift to serve others in need. She was member of Hiseville Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years where she was a Certified EMT and firefighter. A graduate of nursing School on March 15, 1992. She was currently working at The Medical Center Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care in Scottsville. She loved her patients as if they were her own family. Over the years she had loved so many.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Roger Scott; Three children Christy Decker (Stanley), Ricky Neal (Chassedy), and Lindsay Roberts (Patrick); eight grandchildren: Haley McNutt (Kyle), John Runyon, Rhaygen Scott, Adahlee Roberts, Axel Neal, Madden Neal, Chris Decker, and Cameron Decker; three brothers: Wesley Pedigo (Sandy), David Pedigo (Debbie), and Joe Pedigo; A sister in-law Jan Pedigo; Several nieces and nephews also survived.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Donnie Pedigo.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday until time for services.

    Velvet had only been working in Cal Turner for a couple of months but we felt she had been with us forever. She was a great addition to our nursing team. She was a hard worker and went above and beyond the call of duty every day. I am so very sorry for your loss and want you to know that Velvet will be missed and remembered.
