Rex Neal Thomason

Rex Neal Thomason, 75, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2023. He was a son of the late William Reid Thomason and Ellis Hughes Akers Thomason. He was a retired construction worker for Ernest Simpson Construction and a Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by one son: Christopher Neal Thomason; three brothers: Harold (Sue) Thomason, Joe (Lavaughn) Thomason and Richard (Angie) Branham; three sisters: Shirley Jackson, Rebecca (Dennis) Jackson and Regina Cummings; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister: Margie Jackson; two brothers: William Thomason and Charles Thomason.
Funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 am Friday until time for services.
Rex was a kind soul who tried to help people. He was my cousin, but I had not seen him for many years. He would come to see his Grandmother Willie Agers (my great aunt) and she enjoyed that a great deal. Prayers for the family.
I remember Rex with the fondest of memories from our childhood…I remember living across the street playing together…He was the best cousin.I looked up to him.I am so sorry for his loss.Prayers for his son Chris and my cousins…May God bless you all and give you strength to get thru this most difficult time..
