James Terry Sowers
James Terry Sowers, 80, Indianapolis, passed away on February 11, 2023. James was born on April 28, 1942 in Glasgow to the late Myrtie and Leslie Sowers. He was retired from Burnett Bindford Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Wilma “Billie” Sowers; two daughters: Sheila Dyan and Vicky L. Sowers; five grandchildren: Samantha, Matthew, Sabrina, Dylan, and Adam; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Loyce Higdon; one brother, Kenneth Sowers; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park in Indianapolis. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 20 at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
