Betty Jean Coomer
May 3, 1954 ~ February 2, 2022
Betty Jean Coomer, 67, Glasgow, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Leon and Lillian Adams Coomer; a retired teacher in the Hart and Barren County Schools; and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four sisters: Jan Doyle and husband Willie, Joyce Rigsby and husband Danny, Kaye Matney and husband Alvin, and Shirley Ladd; a dear friend of more than 50 years, Jane Hammer; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 am Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to BRAWA.
I worked with Betty for several years at Head Start in Hart County. She was a very sweet and caring and kind person that i have ever worked with. Prayers goes out to her family and friends. She will be missed dearly. Rest In Peace Betty Jean
Betty was a teacher who truly cared about her students. She will be missed by all who knew her. Prayers of comfort and piece for her family.
Betty was my cousin. She was kind hearted with a very tender loving spirit about her. Her care for others was genuine! I was one of the recipients of her cards for which I was so thankful to be included in her book. She will be missed! Thank you for loving me so well!!! My prayers and condolences goes out to each member of her family!
I just met Betty this past year at Highland Ridge Assisted Living. She always had a smile on her face. I am saddened to hear of her passing. Condolences to her family.
