Ann and I have been connected almost since birth. Our fathers worked together, our mothers were casual friends, Ann and I were at WKU at the same time, and after college, our first jobs were at the same agency. Our path crossings in later years were far and few between as I moved away but we kept in contact via the annual Christmas card letter. I always considered her a good friend. I will miss her energy and her sense of humor.

  2. Jim Gray says:

Ann was a true gem of a person. I knew her from the time we were both in first grade together at the old Liberty Street Elementary, then EB Terry, then junior high and high school. She was treasurer of our 1971 Glasgow High Class for years, I can’t recall if all 4 years or not, but for sure our junior and senior years. Always a sense of humor but also reliably clear and crisp with her point of view, we worked together after college for years. Then we all observed her public service for Glasgow and Barren County, where she was a treasure for the rest of her wonderful and extraordinary life. Her life was remarkable and we’ll all miss her energy and passion.

When I think of Ann I see her sweet smile. Her life has touched so many from our community and so many parts of this state. She would always tell us about how much she loved this state, this county, her town Glasgow. She lived a wonderful life that we will continue to celebrate. Love you Ann.

I met Ann through work in 2009 and we became the best of friends. When I had good news to share she was the first person I picked up the phone to tell. Her smile would light up a room and her laughter was contagious. Her love for her children was evident in our conversations. She was so proud of those grand babies too! She was loved by everyone that knew her. My heart breaks to lose her but heaven has gained a beautiful angel. We will all meet again someday. My prayers go out to her family.

I knew Ann for a long time but saw her often when I would deliver posters to her office area in Glasgow for the Glasgow Musicale events. I was always greeted with a quick hug, a warm smile and lots of talk. I’m so very sorry to hear of her passing. She was one very sweet lady that I considered a friend. Our prayers are with all of her family.

My sympathy to your family in Ann’s passing. She was such a generous and giving person. Approximately twenty years ago, she gave my son, daughter and I tickets to the Glasgow Highland Games. She was always so friendly and happy and a joy to be around. May God be with you and your family in this most difficult time.
