Virginia Rose Craine

April 25, 1942     ~     May 7, 2021

Virginia Rose Craine, 79, Center, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Metcalfe County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary Lucille Hoover Reece.  She was a retired employee of Sorensen’s and a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Miller and his wife Laura of Center; nine grandchildren: Christy Brooks and husband Kevin, April Rooks, Autumn Johnson, Jessica McKenzie, Heather York and husband Jeremy, Robin Clark, Chris Page, Caleb Elmore and Taylor Bedwell; two sisters: Ann Bishop and Sue Davis; one brother, Larry Reece; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Kelly Sue Elmore and Cindy Joan Bedwell; and two brothers: Bobby Reece and Jody Reece.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Houk Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday and continue Monday morning at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are recommended.
