Philip Gerald Cox, 80, Glasgow, died Saturday, August 15, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at Midway, KY. The Barren County native was a son of the late Leonard Earl Cox and Lucille Pedigo Cox. He was a lifelong farmer and cattle buyer, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son Lee Cox and his wife Connie; one grandson, Dawson Lee Cox; one granddaughter, Lexi Shea Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lee Peterson Cox; one brother, Allen G. “A.G.” Cox; and one sister, Nelda Albany.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 pm Monday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are required.
