Sherman Garmon

Sherman Junior Garmon, 71, Glasgow, died Saturday, May 16, 2020, at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Metcalfe County, he was a son of the late Ervin and Robbie Norris Garmon. He was a retired supervisor of housekeeping at T J Samson Community Hospital.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Brenda; two sons: Kevin Garmon (Tammy) of Hiseville and Allen Garmon (Tosha) of Glasgow; seven grandchildren: Jamie Garmon (Whitney), Cody Garmon (Kristina), Megan Coulter (Wesley), Amber Eden (Brandon), Tyler Garmon, Ashley Garmon, and Becca Calvert; five brothers: Bobby Garmon, Roger Garmon, Charlie Garmon, Tommy Garmon, and Freddie Garmon; three sisters: Hazel Rutledge, Barbara York, and Wanda York; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Corbin.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Garmon Cemetery at Knob Lick. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s new requirements for funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are recommended. The service will also be streamed live at www.facebook.com/hatchersaddler; or you may listen to the service while in our parking lot by tuning your radio to FM 89.1.
