Donnie Ray Smith
June 15, 1959 ~ March 6, 2016
Donnie Ray Smith, 56, Glasgow, died Sunday, March 06, 2016, at his residence. A son of the late William Carl Smith and Bessie Marie Settles Smith, he was a former janitor at T. J. Samson Hospital and a member of the Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include five brothers: Jimmy Smith, Ronnie Smith and wife Sheila, Roger Smith, Victor Smith, and Freddie Smith; one sister: Connie Parrett and husband Glen; special friends: Kathy Walker and Russell Ramey; his caregivers: Kay Chapman, Bobby Close, and Leonard Ballard who was also his brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews including Meg Chapman and Jennie Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Richard Smith; two sisters Bonnie Smith and Genene Chapman.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Tracy Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
