Dora Lee Polson, 90, Glasgow , died Sunday, May 2, 2004 , at her residence. A daughter of the late Andrew and Melinda Jackson Britt, she was a homemaker, a member of the Peters Creek Baptist Church and an avid needleworker.

Survivors include one son, Buford Edwards Smith of Jasper, GA; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Moore of Glasgow ; five grandchildren, Philip E. Smith of Pittsburgh , Reed N. Moore, Jr. of Tompkinsville, Jama Budke of Kansas City , MO , C. Craig Smith of Knoxville and Alison Marie Wildermuth of Woodstock, GA; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Hubert Britt of Haywood; two step-sons, Stanley Polson and Howard Polson both of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Buford B. Smith and Glan Polson; five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to T. J. Samson Hospice.
