Helen Bishop Gassaway, 88, Dripping Springs Road, Glasgow, died Monday at the Medco Center in Bowling Green. A daughter of the late Taylor and Retta Lawrence Bishop, she was a retired supervisor at Kentucky Pants Co. in Glasgow, a member of the Browder’s Chapel Baptist Church and the widow of the late Charlie G. Gassaway.

Survivors include two daughters, Charline Bowles of Glasgow and Mary Kathryn Minyard and her husband, Roger of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Bobby Anderson, Jr. and Scott Anderson both of Glasgow, Denise Cornelius and Renee’ Minyard both of Bowling Green; three great-grandchildren, Wesley Anderson of Bowling Green, Chelsea Anderson and Dalton Anderson both of Glasgow; four sisters, Jennie B. Ross of Glasgow, Brenda Miracle of Detroit, Caroline Johnson and Patricia Ewing both of Louisville; two brothers, Mitchell Bishop of Louisville and Leroy Bishop of Ft. Myers, FL.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Mead Bishop, Romie Bishop, Ottis Bishop and Marchel Bishop.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
