Julie Collier

Julie Lynn Collier, 59, Glasgow, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.  Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of Betty Raake Collier and the late James L. “Jim” Collier.

After graduating Glasgow High School, Julie attended Midway College and Jefferson Community College and then worked as a nursing assistant in a health care facility.  She was a very crafty person who loved to quilt and sew.  She was a very caring and giving person who gave away most all the things that she created.  She was very loving; especially toward her family and her cats.  She was an active member of the First Christian Church until health concerns prevented her from being physically involved.

Julie is survived by her mother Betty Raake Collier; two brothers: James Raake “Rock” Collier and Robert L. “Bobby” Collier; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the First Christian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
