Lois Rose Evans

          Lois Rose Evans, 93, Glasgow, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her residence.  A native of Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Hardin Rose.

          Lois retired from Douglas Aircraft where she was responsible for printing and reproducing their top secret documents.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star who loved sewing, quilting, and gardening.

          Survivors include three children; Patsy Turner, Deborah Turner Cooper (Robert), and John Robert Evans; seven grandchildren: Brian Lofthouse, Michael Lofthouse, Jeffrey Turner, Richard Turner, Mikel Turner, Kristi Evans, and Jonathon Evans; ten great-grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Larry D. Turner; a brother, and three sisters.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 12 noon Monday at the funeral home.
