Felicia Lynne Bowles

December 11, 1959          ~          December 28, 2023

A life well lived is a precious gift from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. Felicia Lynne Allen Bowles, 64, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away peacefully from complications of Leukemia on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital surrounded by her two daughters.

Felicia was born and raised in Louisville, KY and was the daughter of the late Daniel Boone Allen and Marcia Lynne Pace Allen Johnson. And if you knew her, you know that she was the epitome of daddy’s girl, and he was probably the first to meet her at those pearly gates. She is also preceded in death by two brothers: James Gregory Allen and Dannye Raye Allen; and one granddaughter, Isabell Vinson.

She is survived by two daughters: Samantha Vinson (Timothy) and Savannah Mills (Matthew); Eight extremely loved grandchildren: Dakota Vinson, TeKeila Vinson Clark, Ronnie Dale Vinson, Shelby Vinson, Gracie Vinson, Kaleb Ty Vinson, Easten Mills, and Greenleigh Mills; One sister: Carol Clark (Tommy); Three Brothers: Charles Allen (Kathy), Michael Allen, and Larry Dix (Kathy); four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Felicia’s children made up the entirety of her world. That is until she earned the title of Granny and then it was move over kiddos. Just kidding. She loved us all fiercely, and if you knew her, you loved her just the same. She had the most infectious personality and always made friends everywhere she went.  She loved to love on people and enjoyed helping others. She didn’t do this out of obligation, but simply because of who she was. When she wasn’t calling or sending good morning texts to her daughters, she could be found gambling, smoking a cigarette, or at her apartment surrounded by the laughter of a ton of kids.

We are eternally grateful that she chose us to give the insurmountable gift of her unconditional love. Please know that it would be wrong to say Felicia lost a battle, because she never stopped fighting. Even in her final moments, she showed us what strength, courage, and perseverance truly look like.

Friends are invited to say a final, “Bye, Felicia!” at 1:00PM on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00PM to 8:00PM on Saturday, December 30 and after 8AM Sunday until time for services at the funeral home.

Until we meet again, momma, we love you more.
