Carel Lawson-Meredith

          Carel Maxine Brown Lawson-Meredith, 82, Glasgow, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Elzie Nicholas Brown and Wilma Inez Wheat Brown.  She was a retired factory worker at Mallory Capacitor in Glasgow and a member of the Baptist faith.

          Survivors include her companion of over 50 years Ronnie L. Meredith; one daughter Tenna Davis of Glasgow; one sister Charolet Kelley of Louisville; two nieces: Kenya Gillenwater and Tanger Swallows of Louisville; one nephew Kerry Brown of Tompkinsville; several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Timothy Clay Davis; one brother Roger Brown; one brother-in-law, Sammy Kelley.

          Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue Friday morning at the funeral home.
