Ricky Walbert

          Ricky Daryl Walbert, 67, Glasgow, passed away suddenly Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Lemmie and Edna Smith Walbert.  He was a carpenter by trade; a motorcycle enthusiast; a former member of Freedom Warriors; and a United States Army veteran of Vietnam.

          Survivors include his significant other Debbie Jessie; two daughers: Marquita Mahoney of Glasgow and Melanie Minga of London, KY; one step-daughter, Terra Ferguson (Timothy) of Tompkinsville; two grandchildren: Tyler Anderson and Travis Metivier; two step-grandchildren: Brilee Jessee and Weston Ferguson; two brothers: Ronald Walbert (Sue) of Louisville and Russell Walbert of North Dakota; one sister, Patty Bertram of Florida; “mother-in-law” Jean Frazier of Glasgow; his canine companions, Emma and Bella; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and continue Sunday morning at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations at the funeral home toward funeral expenses.
