Jean Fletcher Aspley

          Jean Fletcher Aspley, age 92 of Lexington, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Northpoint Lexington Healthcare Center.  A native of Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. Fletcher and Paudine Reece Fletcher.

          Jean was very dedicated to her role of being a minister’s wife and loving all God’s people.  She was a member of Crestwood Christian Church in Lexington. She enjoyed serving on numerous committees at Northpoint Healthcare along with playing bingo and participating in many other activities.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

          Survivors include one daughter Paula J. Miles of Lexington; two granddaughters: Bethany Jean Dunteman (Isaac) their children Lilli, Norah, Zoe, Zane, Benji, and Kristina Jo Dewitt (Josh) and their children Cali and Jesse; three nephews: Darrell Fletcher and wife, Joetta, Lynn Fletcher, and Brad Calvert.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Joe William Aspley, Jr.; one sister, Lottie F. Calvert; and one brother, J. W. Fletcher.

          Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with visitation beginning at 11:00.  Donations are suggested to the Pension Fund of the Christian Church, 1099 N. Meridian Street, Suite 720, Indianapolis, IN 46204.  Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
