Sue “Susie” Goad

Sue “Susie” Goad, 74, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late James Edgar Eatmon, Sr. and Ora Nancy Smith Eatmon. She was retired from the Glasgow State Hospital.
She is survived by one son: James Goad (Gidget); one daughter Jennifer Turben (Michael); six grandchildren: Brent Goad, Jasmine Goad, Savannah Goad, Amanda Lee (K.J.), Payton Turben and Jaydon Turben; four great-grandchildren: Ryatt Lee, Harper Lee, Kambree Goad and Brinleigh Turben; one daughter-in-law: Laura Goad; three brothers: Donald Eatmon, Jimmy Eatmon and Mitchell Eatmon; one sister: Barbara Shaw; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Carl “T. C.” Goad; one son: John Goad; four brothers: James Edgar Eatmon, Jr., Charles Eatmon, Sr., Russell Eatmon and Richard Eatmon; two sisters: Marsha Gardner and Geraldine Jackson.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
I worked with Sue for many years at Glasgow State NF. She was always so pleasant & cheerful. A good person to work with. Many prayers to the family during this difficult time.
I have been so blessed to be able to be her provider for all these years.
She was always so kind and pleasant.
I am truly sorry I missed her service as I had planned to go but got busy at office.
My prayers are with all the family.
She will truly be missed.
