Edna C. Sexton

          Edna C. Sexton, 83, formerly of Glasgow, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Regency Nursing Home in Louisville.  Born February 10, 1940 at Big Meadow, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mae Compton Jessie.  She was a retired seamstress having worked many years at Enro Shirt Company, and a member of the Charity Missionary Baptist Church.

          Survivors include three children: Teresa Argabright of Brandenburg, Gary H. Sexton and wife Janet of Radcliff, and Rebecca G. Brooks of Valley Station; seven grandchildren: Thomas H. Sexton (Gwen), Don Ardie Fitts, Jessie Mowrey, James Coy Brooks, Ashley Gabhart (Blake), Amanda G. Brooks, and Steven Lee Sexton (Hannah); two brothers: Manuel Jessie and Danny Jessie (Debbie); four sisters: Margaret Ramey, Jean Sexton, Elsie Isenberg, and Linda Jo Cannon; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Coy Hilton Sexton; one brother and three sisters.

          Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bragg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
