Jimmy Keeton

          James Stanley “Jimmy” Keeton, 68, Glasgow, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the T J Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Arthur Simmons and Vianna Keeton Simmons.  He had been a maintenance worker for Borders Monument Company for many years and attended the Glasgow Faith Church.

          Survivors include his wife Kimberly; three children: Brandi Despain (Brandon), Christy Compton (Dylan), and James B. Keeton all of Glasgow; five grandchildren: Ivory Stinnett, Dalton Despain, Landon Despain, Braydon Ballard, and Cadence Knuckles; two great-grandchildren: Jaxson Despain and Oaklee Despain; two brothers: Harvey Simmons and James Simpson; five sisters: Eunice Slayton, Gail Etherton, Lisa Wyatt, Marlene Franklin, and Sandy Smith; his step-father, Eunice Simmons; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Keeton and David Simmons.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

    Gonna miss ole Jimmy. I got memories though. He was a good man. Funny to. He would come visit me in my building a bunch if he seen the doors open thru the years. He called me Hotrod. Idk why but he did. I never questioned it. RIP JIMMY.
