Debra Sue Sanders

          Debra Sue Sanders, 60, Cave City, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at her residence following a brief illness.  A native of Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Doris Jean Clark Emberton and the late Arnold Lewis Emberton.  Debbie has been employed as a secretary at T J Samson Community Hospital for more than 26 years.  She is a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church.

          In addition to her mother Doris Jean Emberton, she is survived by her husband Mark Sanders; two children: Lauren Moseley and Ethan Sanders; three sisters: Sandy Byrd (Steve), Donna Morgan (Kevin), and Janet Hunley (William); several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother Clifton Ray Emberton.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Monday and continue Tuesday morning at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Helen’s Catholic Church.
