Twila Kaopio

     Twila Lee Mahilani Kaopio 61, Smiths Grove passed away April 14, 2023 as a result of a tragic automobile accident. Born in Honolulu Hawaii to the  Charles and the late June Kaopio Ridgeway,  she loved her native Hawaiian heritage and her family dearly.

     She is survived by her husband Joe Edwards; two children: Tiffany and Brian Edwards of California; Two grandchildren; Kristopher Fuentes, Kamila Villar; Two brothers: Charles Hook and Sirguy Kaopio; three sisters: Kiso Berton, Charity Kekauoha and Tammy Ridgeway; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her sister Treva Oland.

     Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday April 19, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 10am Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to help offset funeral expenses.

    Twila had a smile that would light up any room. She loved life and was pleasant to be around. She will be missed but never forgotten. She can spread her wings and soar with the angels. May God wrap his arms around her family and friends and comfort them.
