Fidel “Jack” Chapman, Jr.

Fidel “Jack” Chapman Jr., 88, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at NHC health care center. He was a son of the late Fidel and Jessie Estes Chapman. He was a member, deacon and trustee of Dover Baptist Church in Haywood. He was a retired farmer and a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by two children: Steve Chapman (Darlene) and Debbie Wood (Tommy); ten grandchildren: Jeff Chapman (Lori), Staci Greer (Brandon), Lauren Hensley (Blake), Billy Thomason (Courtney), Ben Wood, Bradley Wood (Jennifer), Lisa Thomason (Charlie), Brandon Wood (Lynsey), Blake Wood (Fahrie) and Cora Clifford (Nathaniel); seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Geraldine Denison and Wanda Hanking.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Frances Marie Glass Chapman; one granddaughter: Stephanie Chapman: his son-in-law: Joey Thomason; two brother-in-laws: Damon Denison and James Hanking.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday and after 10:00 am Friday until time for services at the funeral home.
