Grace Watkins

          Grace Watkins, 94, Glasgow, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Glenview Health & Rehab Center.  A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late George and Clara Bradford Lohden.  She spent many years as the manager of St. Charles Kitchen and was a member of the New Salem Methodist Church.

          Survivors include two children: Clara Stilts (Marty) of Glasgow and Tommy Watkins (Angie) of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Julia Watkins of Cincinnati, Cory Watkins (Michelle) of Greensburg, and Micah Watkins (Courtney) of Berea; three great-grandchildren: Emhrett Watkins, Brielle Watkins, and Zyla Watkins; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Watkins; twin children: Christy Ruthene and Dell Lorene; three sisters: Ersie Turner, Anna Ruth Dennison Turner, and Christine Watkins; four brothers: Morris Lohden, George Lohden, Richard Lohden, and Eugene Lohden.

          The family wants to say a special “thank you” to those at Glenview Health & Rehab—West Side that took care and loved Grace.  Thanks for the spoiling and care so many showed during her time as a resident.

          Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
