Richard Lee Pickett

          Richard Lee Pickett, 65, Glasgow, died Friday, December 9, 2022 at his residence.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Hugh O. Pickett, Sr. and Carolyn Elizabeth Morgan Pickett.  He was a truck driver for RDH and an avid bowler.

          Survivors include his wife Patricia A. Pickett; two daughters: Lisa Pickett Lem and husband Manolo of Nashville and Lori B. Pickett of Glasgow; two grandchildren: Charlotte and Sophia Lem; one sister, Pat Groce of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Elizabeth A. Pickett; and two brothers: Hugh O. Pickett, Jr. and Charlie Pickett.

          Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

    I didn’t know Richard for very long, as an employee at Glasgows local bowling alley I only knew him from our leagues which he frequently attended. I may not have known anything about him outside of his visits to the alley, but he was always a very kind and friendly guy who everyone around loved spending time with. On behalf of myself, and I’m sure many other bowlers, he will be missed.

    Going to miss Richard! My husband, Gary Davis knew Big R aka Richard from High School. Had a huge heart and big smile! Loved bowling! My Dad bowled with him on Tuesday nights. He loved bowling! RIP BR
