Ralph Depp Jackson

Ralph Depp Jackson, 83 of Bearwallow, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at home.  The Barren County native was born July 11, 1939 in Glasgow to the late W.R. and Mary Alice Love Jackson. He graduated in 1960 from Hiseville High School where he was a standout athlete in football, basketball, and track. Ralph was married to his high school sweetheart Brenda Gail Farris Jackson whom he adored more than anything. Gail preceded him in death on June 5, 2013 at the age of 70. He spent his entire life since childhood farming in the Bearwallow community. He was a member of the Hiseville Baptist Church.


Ralph is survived by his two sons who have lovingly cared for him during his lengthy illness: Ralph Farris Jackson (Susan) and Glen Shelton Jackson (Cindy) all of the Bearwallow community. He is survived by two grandsons who could always bring a smile to his face—Nicholas Shelton Jackson (Megan) of Smiths Grove and William Ray Jackson (Ellie) of Bearwallow. Ralph is also survived by three special nephews Mike, Timmy, and Jason Howell.


Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Saturday, December 17th and after 10 am Sunday December 18th at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, December 18th at 2:00 pm at the funeral home and burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.


Alternate expressions of sympathy can be made to the Hiseville Cemetery
