Phillip Zamtuk

Phillip Scott Zamtuk, 65, Glasgow, died Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his residence.  Phil was born November 19, 1956 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Lawrence and Betty (Mentz) Zamtuk. He attended West Pullman Elementary and Fenger High School in Chicago. He graduated from Glasgow High School.

Phil had a long career as a pressman at RR Donnelley & Sons in Glasgow. He retired in 2013 after a back surgery.  Throughout life, Phil was always ready for an adventure. He spent time climbing with his dad, rafting rivers, skiing and enjoying music festivals. He always returned home to the music, the people and the bbq of Kentucky.  Your memory lives inside us and will never be forgotten.

Survivors include one daughter Carnesa L Matthews; two grandchildren: Nevaeh Matthews and Kalani Grider; one great-grandchild, Amilea Merritt all of Glasgow; one brother Tom Zamtuk of Glasgow; and one sister Jenny Ward of Idaho; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Zamtuk chose cremation.  No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

    Since Our Families Where Moved Here In 1970 Our
    Fathers Opened RRD Doors. I Got To Know Phil While
    Working At RRD. He Was A Good Man. My Thoughts
    And Prayers Are With His Brother Tom.
