Vickie Southerland

Vicki Lee Morrow Southerland, 68, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed peacefully at home Friday, June 3, 2022.  She was deeply loved by her family and anyone that got to know her.  Vickie was born at Good Samaritan in Dayton Ohio March 22, 1954 to Theodore and Carol Black. 

Vicki dedicated her life to the kids at Temple Hill School, and every child that ever walked in that door was treated as if they were her own. To this day every student remembers her lovingly as Miss Vicki. 

She loved square dancing with her husband Norman, working with the school system and spending time with her family.

Vicki was a strong woman with strong family values and stood up for everyone she ever met. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. 

She is survived by her mother Carol Ann Cunningham Black, husband Norman Southerland, daughter Kathryn Lyle and her husband Adam, stepdaughters Jann Edington and Dana Ellis and her husband Troy and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father Theodore Black her first husband Leland Royce Morrow and her grandmother Francis Philpot. 

Visitation will be held at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home, Monday, June 6th from 4-8 pm. with cremation to follow.

    So sorry to hear this. We enjoyed square dancing with them whenever we had the opportunity to be at the same dance. Going to the dances in Kentucky will not be the same as we always were hoping they would be there. She will definitely be missed. Norm you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
