Mary Lucille Akin, 90, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Willie Saul Thrasher and Ellie Flowers Thrasher. She was retired from Mallory’s and from the Deli at Houchen’s Grocery. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son: Larry Akin; one daughter: Teresa Swafford (Bill); six granddaughters: Amanda Cash (John), Melissa Bailey (Malcolm), Amber McMahan (Brandon), Jessica Dile (Taylor), Brandi Wheat (Jared) and Mary Huddleston (Chris); five great grandchildren: Dalton Cash, Isaac Osborne, Branlee McMahan, Kenzie Dile and Steven McMahan; one daughter-in-law: Lisa Akin; three brothers: Matthew Thrasher, Lewis Thrasher and Jessie Thrasher (Becky); three sisters: Anna Mae Wolff (Garry), Oleen Richardson and Nelda Garner; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Clay M. Akin; one son: Stevie Howard Akin; two brothers: Cloyd Thrasher, Herbert Thrasher; six sisters, Joyce Thrasher, Bercie Flowers, Marie Perkins, Geneva Thacker, Tessie Watkins and Lowell Wray.

Funeral will be 1:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home and after 7:00 am Monday until time for services.
