Lois E. Smith, 94, born July 2, 1927 of Glasgow, Kentucky, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday, April 4, 2022 at the NHC nursing facility. She was the daughter of the late Willis Elmore and Ethel Haley Elmore. She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Dover Baptist Church in Haywood.

She is survived by three daughters: Diane Harrison, Darlene Chapman and her husband Steve and Brenda Lawrence and her husband Timmy; thirteen grandchildren: Tabitha Elloitt, Bobby Smith, Traci Smith, Dana Johnson, Ashley Harrison, Wesley Harrison, Jeff Chapman, Staci Greer, Lauren Chapman, Jennifer Williams, Leslie Cloyd, Heather Vincent and Justin Smith; her daughter-in-law: Belinda “Benni” Smith; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Smith; three sons: Danny Smith, Larry Smith and Keith Smith; one granddaughter: Stephanie Chapman.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday and after 9:00 am Sunday until time for services at the Hatcher & Saddler funeral home.

    Although we know we all have to go it still saddens our heart when we hear of a friends passing. I always loved being around her and her dear Family. Her earthly departure gives me yet another reason to want to go to that beautiful city.
