Jennie Carol Slinker, 77, of Knob Lick, KY, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at her residence.  Jennie Carol is a native of Metcalfe County. She was the daughter of the late Davis Beckham Blaydes and Winnie Christine Davis Blaydes.  She was a homemaker, seamstress, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Melvin Clay Slinker; six children: Melvin Todd Slinker (Leea) of Savoyard, Sarah Lynn Harter of Dickson, TN, Emily Jane Slinker, Timothy Clay Slinker (Stacey), Jenny Lea Slinker, and Christa Carol Judd (Zach) all of Edmonton; nine grandchildren: Weston Harter, Aubrey Harter, Lane Judd, Allie Judd, Ava Slinker, Amelia Slinker, Anderson Slinker, Martin Slinker, and Sullivan Slinker; one sister Peggy Turner (Jerry); two sisters-in-law: Wanda Coffey and Anita Blaydes; Clay’s siblings and their spouses; several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter Lisa Carol Slinker and two brothers: Charles Blaydes and Philip Blaydes.

Visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sulphur Well, KY on Tuesday, April 26th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow. After the service burial will be in the Slinker Family Cemetery located on the family farm in Green County, Kentucky.  Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
