Freddie M. Smith, 61, Cave City, died Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his residence. The Barren County native was the son of the late Carl and Bessie Settle Smith. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include three children: Shawn Smith (Jessica), Leticia Montgomery (Chris), and Erica Broyles (Conley) and their three children; six grandchildren: Layla, Haily, Deanna, Madisyn, Harleigh, and Marshall; four brothers: Victor Smith, Roger Smith, Ronnie Smith, and Jimmy Smith; one sister Connie Parrott; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver: Gary Toohey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard Smith and Donnie Smith; and two sisters: Bonnie Smith and Genene Chapman.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
