Dickie Ray Curd, 64, Chicago, IL formerly of Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dickie was born on September 28, 1957 to the his parents Ms. Aline Curd and Mr. James Evans Childress. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He grew up in Glasgow and later moved to Lexington, KY and then to Chicago. His working career consisted of working at R R Donnelley in Glasgow; Target in Chicago; and UPS in Chicago from which he retired.

Dickie is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Brenda Stockton, Juanita Curd Bridges, and Willie Bush; three brothers: Jonathan Wayne Curd, Alvin Jr. Curd, and Timothy Martin.

He is survived by his children: Amy Curd Freeman of Nashville and Cedric Curd of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Chase Freeman, Kali Curd, and Cam’ron Curd; his siblings: Ramona Curd of Glasgow, Tony Curd of Bowling Green, Fred Curd of Louisville, Ann Allen of Bowling green, Cheryl Nettles of Elizabethtown, Ronnie Martin of Glasgow, Leroy Martin of Munfordville, and Jimmy Martin of Baton Rouge, LA; and a blessing of several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Dickie’s final resting place will be at Barlow Cemetery alongside his mother, brothers, and sister.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 18th at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
