Stella Ree Gooden, 94, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late William Saltsman and Flora Mae Harp Saltsman. She was retired from R. R Donnelly. She was a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Danny D. Gooden (Sunshine), Katrina L. Hazelwood and Kendra D. Scott (Bernie); one brother: William Saltsman, Jr.; two sisters: Dorine Reece and Mona Pierce; daughter-in-law: Darlene Gooden; ten great-grandchildren: Lindsay Shipley (Matt), Kyle Gooden, Zack Scott (Katie), Brooklyn Ramsey, Mason Gooden, Kalista Hazelwood, Abiah Gooden, Destiny Belvins, Jacob Blevins and Hailey Gooden; seven great-great-grandchildren: Lily Shipley, Aubrey Gooden, Ryan Finn, Jensen Gooden, Nolan Shipley, Huntleigh Scott and Huxlee Scott; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Porter Elvin Gooden, Jr.; her son: Danny E. Gooden; seven brothers: Coy Saltsman, Roy Saltsman, Herman Saltsman, Sherman Saltsman, Roscoe Saltsman, George Saltsman and Hayden Saltsman; three sisters: Sylvia Saltsman, Linnie Fields and Callie Jefferies.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Big Meadow Baptist Church with burial in the Big Meadow Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Friday until 8:00 p.m. at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time for services.
