Phil B. Wells, 67, Glasgow, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Phil B. Wells, Sr. and Anne Hackney Wells. He was the owner of Capital Recovery in Glasgow and was well-known in the area as “The Repo Man”.

Survivors include his wife Connie Sturdivant Wells; four children: Wes Shipley (Chasity), Matthew Shipley (Lindsay), Kyle Vincent, and Alexandra Wells (Garrett Vereen); four grandchildren: Scarlett, Roman, Lily, and Nolan Shipley; two sisters: Jeanne Travis (Joe) of Somerset and Barbara Kramer (Jack) of Louisville; a special cousin, Wells Richardson of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Our sympathy to you, his family, who are left to mourn his passing. I first met Phil when all of us were just kids. (I graduated with Barbara). A few years ago, this tall, gentleman walked up and gave me a hug. I had not seen him for many years, but was so pleased he remembered me.

    I am so sad to hear of Phil’s passing. He was a good friend and I always enjoyed seeing him. Phil had the rare talent of always being upbeat and funny. I sure will miss seeing him. I am praying for Connie and all the family during this time of great loss. God bless you all.

    I am so sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. Growing up next to the Wells family has given me many fond memories of childhood. Phil was one of the rare people who called me “sis”. He always was so happy to see one of us.

    I was so very deeply saddened to hear that my dear friend Phil Wells had passed away.. He was such a sweet person. It makes me so very sad to know that I’ll never be able to hug him again. He was such a great man and I had such awesome respect for him. Not many things make me cry but but this has. My deepest sympathies goes out to his family.
