Celia Faye Wood, 69, Glasgow, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Barren County to the late Charlie and Malissa Bowles Harper. She was a graduate of Hiseville High School and a CNA at the Glasgow State ICF Hospital. She volunteered at Eastern Elementary School and was the secretary at Harlow’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Celia loved her family dearly, especially her grandbabies. She loved doing things for other people. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and sitting around talking with people. She enjoyed dancing and singing with her friends and family. She enjoyed life to the fullest but her main priority was the health and well being of her family and those around her that she loved dearly. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader. She supported them with her entire being. She honored and loved God for He came first in her life.

She is survived by two daughters: Amy Bunton and Neva Smith (Jhah) of Glasgow; one son, Sebastian-Lee Wade Wood (Emily) also of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Devontae Bunton (Jamie) of Glasgow, Tyler Bunton (Courtney) of Bowling Green, Joshua Hodge of Glasgow; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Audrey, and Athena Wood of Glasgow; special nieces: MaRanda “MyRanda” McCandless (Zack) and Tamara “SweetPea” Wood of Glasgow; her good boys: Hayden “HayHay” McCandless and Nathen “Hunky Dunk” McCandless; one sister, Geneva Thomas also of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lee Wood; one son, Paul Wade Anderson; one sister, Barbara Houchens; one brother, James Harper; one nephew, Larry “LB” Thomas; and one brother-in-law, Larry Thomas.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Wood Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
