Alma Rosa Basile, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Wilson Surita and Cruz Collazo Medeiros. She was a member of Saint Helen’s Catholic Church and worked with the Glasgow Community Relief Fund

She is survived by her husband Samuel Ralph Basile, Jr.; four children: Belinda Thurman (Charles), Sophia Basile, Sabatino R. Basile (Heather) and Giovanni W. Basile (Dulce); sixteen grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie, Angelina, Nicholas, Analis, Evan, Evaughna, Alma, Lydia, Azra, Maria, Izabela, Sammy, Amora, Marisol and Gianna one brother:
Wilson Pagan; four sisters: Maria Surita, Yvette Roman, Rosalyn Mercado and Nancy Roman; special Aunt: Lillian Roman; many nieces, nephews, special friends and family.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 13, 2021 and after 8:00am Friday until time for services at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are recommended.

    Your kind loving family I’m so sorry for your all’s loss. I know there isn’t any words to explain the pain you’re going through. I’m so sorry I was not able too be there for you all but rest assure I was there in thoughts and prayers. I had a really bad day of health today and had to use my oxygen today and cane. Again sorry love y’all and I will be by the house in a few days God’s will. Love y’all bunches prayers
