James Harold “Jamie” Kingery, 46, Glasgow, died Thursday, September 17, 2020 at his residence. The Barren County native was a son of the late Earl and Elizabeth Faye Hogue Kingery. He was a farmer; a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church; and had served with the United States Army.

Survivors include one son: Matthew Spencer Kingery; two grandchildren: Hunter Kingery and Kynleigh Kingery; five sisters: Connie Gordon (Jim Lickteig), Rita Cogar, Bonnie Eubank (Clay Cropper), Donna Moss (Ricky), and Sheila Wyatt (Roosevelt); several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Elizabeth Kingery; one brother, Michael Kingery; one nephew, Chris Mesker; his former wife Dyanna Kingery; as well as all of his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 am Monday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are required.

    Jamie was one of the most kind hearted person I have ever meet. If someone needed the coat he had on he would take it off and give it to them. I have known Jamie for almost 30 years and his kind soul and big heart will be missed by a lot of people.
