Marilyn Darline Slayton, 68, of Glasgow, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Flora Decker Nanny.

She is survived by her children: Debra Slayton (James Lawson), Greg Slayton (Tanya Slayton), Patricia Brown (Joey Bush), Melissa Young (Billie Goley) and Joseph “Joey Slayton”. Her grandchildren: Malacia Keys (Daniel Paris), Hannah Young (Cody Dismon), Bryson Slayton, Kaitlyn Anderson, Rylan Slayton, Tara Jessee, Kadin Wray, Jennifer Crabtree, Christina Jessee (Riley Gardner); her great grandchildren: Mia, Christopher and Harper Groce; her sisters and brothers: Minnie Epperson, Jenny Britt, Melinda and Larry Heath, James and Betty Nanny, Larry and Elizabeth Nanny, Caroline and Jim Dolph and Dwight Nanny; brother and sister in laws: Danny and Kathy Slayton, Pat and Larry Bragg and Barbara Slayton; special friend: Steve “Baldie” Decker; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband: Clyde Ray Slayton; brother and sister in laws: Harland Slayton, Frank Epperson, Walter Britt, Linda and Steve Johnson; mother and father in laws: Garland and Lassie Slayton.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to help defray funeral expenses.

In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are required.
