James Paul Forrest

James Paul Forrest, Jr., 76, Tompkinsville, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at NHC Healthcare Center in Glasgow.  A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late James Paul Forrest, Sr. and Pauline Jones Forrest Twyman and Flavois Isaiah Twyman.  He was a farmer who loved fishing and riding the country roads.  He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include four children: Greg Forrest, Kristy Forrest, James Eric Forrest, and Vicki Jo Forrest; one half brother, George Bradshaw of Scottsville; seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Oak Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11 am Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.

In keeping with the Governor’s mandates for funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are required.

    I am so sorry for the loss of this great man . I have known him most of my life . He was always very kind and polite to me . He was Respected by many and such a hard worker .
